There are currently over 200 students studying on the music course and Farnborough and many more involved in musical extracurricular activities. Music making is not only at the heart of the department, but the entire College community. On average, around 30 public performances are organised each year for students from huge operatic and choral projects, to more intimate lunchtime recitals, enabling students to enjoy extensive performing opportunities.
Sixth Spice is the College’s elite small-scale jazz ensemble who perform a range of music, from traditional jazz through bebop to more contemporary numbers. They perform regularly both within and outside of College, recently going on tour in December 2016 to Meudon, near Paris.
